Dalata
When it comes to using art to create a new world, André Dalata knows exactly what to do. His work mixes abstraction and surrealism, always with a positive message. Using different techniques, Dalata is also known for his interventions with broken/forgotten places and with nature itself. His career started back in 97, in Belo Horizonte, his city of birth and now his work is becoming famous all over the world. Besides the fact that Dalata is a great graffiti artist with a unique style, he also navigates in the music realm and is always interested in finding new ways to express himself artistically.

Douglas Tavares Santos, known as Gais, has emerged from the slums of Rio de Janeiro to become one of the Brazilian art world’s most prominent young talents. His first contact with art was as part of the Rio graffiti scene, creating works on the sides of buildings and underpasses; however he soon moved away from the city’s walls and into its galleries. Rooted in Brazilian modernism, his work often depicts abstract cityscapes, and is infused – like that of so many Rio artists – with the bold colour and rhythm of Carioca culture.

Today 10 ladies have enlisted for the Free Hight Team Sunday @H23426 by: Marina Rodrigues. They will be treated with self-made cake and pie, sandwiches, Moroccan Tea and home make lemon water. In return that will brainstorm with us about how we can make the High Tea part of our monthly restaurant program.

A nice sunday morning, sitting at home thinking back on two weeks of H23426. I'm already very proud of what i have achieved with the team so far. We where able to create a potential Hot Spot in 2 1/2 weeks, with a small budget and a lot of help from friends and friendly people from the Southeast area.

We hope to officially open on the 2nd of October, but to just make sure we have all the paper work in order we are taking it slow.

I want to thank the Heesterveld.nu project and Ymere for giving us this opportunity. And we hope that the Bijlmer will make good and frequent use of all the H23426 project has to offer.

Also thank you Vrijwilligers en Zo for supporting us in creating a buzz around the project and being the back office for all our volunteers. You guys will work closely alongside of Ruchama Woerdings who will coordinate all crew member and volunteers.

To those who are somebody of know somebody who can help out in our Urban Store. Or people that make or import fashion, please link up with us. Eva Rillen is the Store Manager and she will be "In the Building" during week days between 5pm and 8pm. Or send an email to: info@wotsonline.nl

Het H23426 project is opgezet door WOTS ism Heesterveld.nu en Ymere Woning Coöperatie.

In een periode van 6 maanden zullen verschillende jonge ondernemers meewerken aan een Pilot waarbij 4 woningen zijn omgebouwd tot leerwerkplekken.

Om als bezoekers deel te kunnen nemen aan dit project zult u lid moeten worden van de H23426 Society. Deze lidmaatschap verschaft u toegang tot: Heads First (kapperzaak), Home Coming (Society keuken), Hot o/t Market (Pop up store en etalage voor werken gemaakt door lokale makers).

HARTT Hotel

HARTT HOTEL stands for Heesterveld's Artistic Temporary Tenants. Its not just any Hotel, but one especially for international artist. Our aim is to provide a win win situation for the artist as well as the Southeast locals.

The tenants can rent this house for a minimum of 1 week and a maximum of three. The cost is €150,- per week + giving back to the local community (max.4 people).

The giving back part variates according to the individual or collective art form of the tenants.

The apartment is a fully furnished one, located in the Heesterveld living area of Amsterdam Southeast. HARTT Hotel is part of a project called Heersterveld.nu witch is building a creative community in one of the buildings that holds 87 apartments (rented out to 30% artistic students from the Rietveld Academy, 30% artistic and business tenants from Southeast and 30% artistic and business tenants national/international).

HARTT Hotel is a WOTS / Heesterveld.nu project in association with ymere housing corporation.

The Heads First Barbershop runs with the slogan "Cut the Bullshit". Its gonna be one of those old school Barbershops that just cuts hair, do lines and and makes shaving in to a fine art.

Joenuz Andeloe is one of the Barbers. He had been doing hair for the past 20 years of his live. But was one of those people that made it his signature to come to your home instead of you coming to him. All this is about to change starting September 12 [upcoming].

We still have room for one more Barber, so feel free to send us a email to apply for the last seat of the house :)

Op Zaterdag 4 September programmeerde wij van For the Love of Art, de kunst tent op de Dag van 1000 Culturen. The weather was lovely en de mensen brachten nothing but good vibes.

De resultaten van de dag waren:

550 actieve bezoekers (mensen die iets hadden gemaakt, geproeft of gekocht) en honderden kijkende bezoekers die hebben kunnen genieten van de mooie foto's van 0.a. Jeffrey Flu en Lloyd Babel. Of de kunst werken van Mevr Deekman.

Wij willen Kaffa Koffie, Ghana Fufuo en Ragma Aarab bedanken voor de culinaire experience. En Jay-Bro voor Button Up, die er altijd weer voor zorgt dat je jonge bezoekers ook genoeg in de kunsttent kunnen beleven.

And natuurlijk much love voor de ArtTees crew: Gwen Gail, The KID Kitchell, Fashion Freak Naily, Mister Bamba Nazar, the Vampire Devante, The connector Clarence "Collab" Creebsburg, Micamichula's own Christa and the Egoist Imene Bekour

The key to success is not trying to succeed at all, but to embrace the imperfection of the human being. And within that finding the balance between what you can give and what you can take. You are 100% responsible for the success or failure of your relationship. If you are taking more then you can handle, GET OUT! If you have to give more than you are able, GET OUT!

The other person is just doing him or her, this is not necessarily wrong, but can most definitely NOT be good for YOU.

If both parties do this (create balans, and be honest on what they can give and take), success will follow automatically.
